LCDs, by contrast, always emit 100% backlight brightness and only control brightness locally by rotating liquid crystal molecules. AMOLED pixels can adjust their own brightness independently, meaning they don’t all have to emit at 100% brightness—this saves energy. Even while playing videos or multimedia content, battery drain is minimal. In emergencies, activating an ultra power-saving mode that reduces pixel use to 10% can extend phone usage up to 24 hours.

            Η μονάδα οθόνης TFT 3,2 ιντσών είναι σχεδιασμένη για ευελιξία και αξιοπιστία σε ένα ευρύ φάσμα εφαρμογών. Διαθέτοντας ανάλυση 240×RGB×400 και 262K χρώματα, προσφέρει ζωντανά γραφικά με ακριβή αναπαραγωγή χρωμάτων. Η οθόνη είναι βελτιστοποιημένη για προβολή στην κατεύθυνση των 12 η ώρα και προσφέρει επίπεδο φωτεινότητας 450 cd/m², εξασφαλίζοντας αναγνωσιμότητα σε διάφορες συνθήκες φωτισμού. Ο συμπαγής συντελεστής μορφής του—διαστάσεων 48,40(Υ) × 81,50(Π) × 2,77(Β) mm—μαζί με μια ενεργή περιοχή 41,76(Υ) × 69,60(Π) mm, το καθιστά ιδανικό για φορητά και ενσωματωμένα συστήματα. Τροφοδοτούμενο από το IC οδηγού ILI9327 και χρησιμοποιώντας μια διεπαφή MCU, αυτή η μονάδα υποστηρίζει απόκριση απόδοσης και απλή ενσωμάτωση. Με εύρος θερμοκρασίας λειτουργίας από -20℃ έως 70℃ και εύρος αποθήκευσης από -30℃ έως 80℃, έχει σχεδιαστεί για να αποδίδει αξιόπιστα σε απαιτητικά περιβάλλοντα. Διατίθενται επιλογές προσαρμογής για την κάλυψη συγκεκριμένων απαιτήσεων εφαρμογής.    

  Η διαφανής οθόνη, γνωστή και ως διαφανής οθόνη ή ημιδιαπερατή/ημιανακλαστική οθόνη, είναι μια τεχνολογία οθόνης που συνδυάζει τόσο ανακλαστικές όσο και διαπερατές ιδιότητες. Χρησιμοποιεί ένα ανακλαστικό φιλμ που μοιάζει με καθρέφτη αντί για ένα παραδοσιακό ανακλαστήρα, επιτρέποντας στο μπροστινό μέρος της οθόνης να αντανακλά το φως του περιβάλλοντος, διατηρώντας παράλληλα τη διαφάνεια στο πίσω μέρος για να αφήνει το οπίσθιο φως να περνάει. Αυτός ο τύπος οθόνης χρησιμοποιείται ευρέως σε όργανα αεροσκαφών, συσκευές αυτοκινήτων, φορητά ηλεκτρονικά είδη εξωτερικού χώρου και smartphones υψηλής τεχνολογίας.   Η επιφάνεια της οθόνης είναι επικαλυμμένη έτσι ώστε τόσο το διαπερατό όσο και το ανακλώμενο φως να αντιπροσωπεύουν 50% το καθένα. Σε φωτεινά περιβάλλοντα, ενισχύει την ορατότητα μέσω της ανάκλασης, ενώ σε συνθήκες χαμηλού φωτισμού, το οπίσθιο φως παρέχει φωτισμό. Αυτό επιτρέπει την προσαρμοστική απόδοση της οθόνης με βάση τις συνθήκες φωτισμού του περιβάλλοντος.   Το μυστικό μιας διαφανούς οθόνης βρίσκεται στο ημιανακλαστικό φιλμ της. Αυτό είναι παρόμοιο με το γυαλί που χρησιμοποιείται σε ορισμένα κτίρια, ορισμένα γυαλιά ηλίου ή φιμέ τζάμια αυτοκινήτων. Η μπροστινή πλευρά λειτουργεί σαν καθρέφτης—αντανακλώντας το ηλιακό φως για να παρέχει μια ευανάγνωστη οθόνη σε συνθήκες έντονου εξωτερικού φωτισμού. Εν τω μεταξύ, η πίσω πλευρά είναι διαφανής, επιτρέποντας στο οπίσθιο φως της οθόνης να περάσει. Σε μια διαφανή οθόνη, ο παραδοσιακός ανακλαστήρας στο πίσω μέρος μιας ανακλαστικής οθόνης αντικαθίσταται με ένα ανακλαστικό φιλμ που μοιάζει με καθρέφτη.      Αυτό το φιλμ εμφανίζεται ως καθρέφτης από το μπροστινό μέρος, αλλά από το πίσω μέρος, είναι διαφανές—ουσιαστικά ένα κομμάτι γυαλιού που αντανακλά και μεταδίδει φως. Σε συνδυασμό με ένα πλήρως διαπερατό οπίσθιο φως, μια διαφανής οθόνη γίνεται ένα υβρίδιο ανακλαστικών και διαπερατών τεχνολογιών οθόνης.   Το χαρακτηριστικό της ημιαντίστροφης ημιδιαφανούς οθόνης είναι ότι η φωτεινότητα του οπίσθιου φωτισμού προσαρμόζεται αυτόματα στο εξωτερικό περιβάλλον. Όσο πιο έντονο είναι το ηλιακό φως, τόσο πιο έντονο θα είναι το ανακλώμενο οπίσθιο φως (ηλιακό φως) από το ανακλαστικό φιλμ. Ακόμη και η ισχυρότερη ένταση φωτός εξωτερικού χώρου δεν αποτελεί πρόβλημα. Όσο πιο έντονο είναι το φως του περιβάλλοντος, τόσο πιο έντονο θα είναι το ανακλώμενο οπίσθιο φως. Στους εξωτερικούς χώρους, μπορεί να λειτουργήσει εντελώς χωρίς πρόσθετο εξοπλισμό φωτισμού οπίσθιου φωτισμού, επομένως εξοικονομεί πολύ ενέργεια σε σύγκριση με την πλήρως διαφανή οθόνη και το εφέ οθόνης είναι επίσης πολύ καλύτερο.

  Η δομή μιας χωρητικής οθόνης αφής αποτελείται κυρίως από ένα διαφανές αγώγιμο στρώμα φιλμ επικαλυμμένο σε μια γυάλινη οθόνη, καλυμμένο από ένα προστατευτικό στρώμα γυαλιού στην κορυφή. Αυτός ο σχεδιασμός διπλού γυαλιού προστατεύει διεξοδικά το αγώγιμο στρώμα και τους αισθητήρες.   Επιπλέον, στενά ηλεκτρόδια είναι επικαλυμμένα κατά μήκος των τεσσάρων άκρων της πρόσθετης οθόνης αφής, δημιουργώντας ένα ηλεκτρικό πεδίο εναλλασσόμενου ρεύματος χαμηλής τάσης μέσα στο αγώγιμο υλικό. Όταν ένας χρήστης αγγίζει την οθόνη, σχηματίζεται μια χωρητικότητα σύζευξης μεταξύ του δακτύλου του χρήστη και του αγώγιμου στρώματος λόγω του ηλεκτρικού πεδίου του ανθρώπινου σώματος. Το ρεύμα που παράγεται από τα ηλεκτρόδια ρέει προς το σημείο αφής και η έντασή του είναι ανάλογη της απόστασης μεταξύ του δακτύλου και κάθε ηλεκτροδίου. Ο ελεγκτής πίσω από την οθόνη υπολογίζει την αναλογία και την ένταση του ρεύματος για να προσδιορίσει με ακρίβεια τη θέση αφής. Ο σχεδιασμός διπλού γυαλιού της χωρητικής οθόνης αφής όχι μόνο προστατεύει τον αγωγό και τους αισθητήρες, αλλά και θωρακίζει αποτελεσματικά την οθόνη από εξωτερικούς περιβαλλοντικούς παράγοντες. Ακόμη και αν η οθόνη είναι μολυσμένη με βρωμιά, σκόνη ή γράσο, μπορεί ακόμα να ανιχνεύσει με ακρίβεια τη θέση αφής.    Οι χωρητικές οθόνες αφής προσφέρουν καλύτερη διαπερατότητα φωτός και καθαρότητα σε σύγκριση με τις αντιστάσιμες οθόνες 4 καλωδίων, αν και όχι τόσο καλή όσο οι οθόνες επιφανειακών ακουστικών κυμάτων ή οι αντιστάσιμες οθόνες 5 καλωδίων. Ωστόσο, οι χωρητικές οθόνες υποφέρουν από σοβαρή αντανάκλαση. Ο σχεδιασμός σύνθετου τεσσάρων στρωμάτων που χρησιμοποιείται στην χωρητική τεχνολογία έχει ως αποτέλεσμα ανομοιόμορφη διαπερατότητα σε διαφορετικά μήκη κύματος φωτός, προκαλώντας παραμόρφωση χρώματος. Οι αντανακλάσεις μεταξύ των στρωμάτων οδηγούν επίσης σε θολές εικόνες και χαρακτήρες.    Βασικά, οι χωρητικές οθόνες αντιμετωπίζουν το ανθρώπινο σώμα ως ένα ηλεκτρόδιο ενός πυκνωτή. Όταν ένας αγωγός πλησιάζει αρκετά για να δημιουργήσει επαρκή χωρητικότητα με την επιφάνεια εργασίας ITO, το ρεύμα που προκύπτει μπορεί να προκαλέσει δυσλειτουργία της οθόνης. Ενώ η χωρητικότητα είναι αντιστρόφως ανάλογη της απόστασης, είναι άμεσα ανάλογη της περιοχής επαφής και εξαρτάται επίσης από τη διηλεκτρική σταθερά του μέσου. Επομένως, μεγάλες αγώγιμες επιφάνειες όπως μια παλάμη ή ένα μεταλλικό αντικείμενο χειρός κοντά στην οθόνη μπορούν να προκαλέσουν ψευδείς αφές ακόμη και χωρίς άμεση επαφή—ειδικά σε υγρές συνθήκες. Για παράδειγμα, απλά ακουμπώντας το χέρι σας στην οθόνη, τοποθετώντας την παλάμη σας σε απόσταση 7 cm ή το σώμα σας σε απόσταση 15 cm από την οθόνη μπορεί να προκαλέσει ψευδή είσοδο.    Ένα άλλο μειονέκτημα των χωρητικών οθονών είναι ότι δεν ανταποκρίνονται όταν αγγίζονται με γαντοφορεμένα χέρια ή μη αγώγιμα αντικείμενα λόγω της παρουσίας περισσότερου μονωτικού υλικού. Το πιο σημαντικό ζήτημα με τις χωρητικές οθόνες αφής, ωστόσο, είναι η μετατόπιση. Οι αλλαγές στη θερμοκρασία περιβάλλοντος, την υγρασία ή τα ηλεκτρικά πεδία μπορούν να προκαλέσουν μετατόπιση θέσης και να οδηγήσουν σε ανακριβείς αφές. Για παράδειγμα, η μετατόπιση μπορεί να συμβεί καθώς η οθόνη θερμαίνεται μετά την ενεργοποίησή της, όταν το σώμα του χρήστη πλησιάζει την οθόνη ή ακόμη και όταν μετακινούνται μεγάλα αντικείμενα κοντά. Εάν κάποιος συγκεντρωθεί γύρω από την οθόνη ενώ χρησιμοποιείται, μπορεί επίσης να οδηγήσει σε μετατόπιση.    Η βασική αιτία αυτής της μετατόπισης είναι ένα εγγενές τεχνικό ελάττωμα. Παρόλο που οι περιβαλλοντικές επιφανειακές επιφάνειες (συμπεριλαμβανομένου του σώματος του χρήστη) μπορεί να είναι πιο μακριά από την οθόνη από το δάχτυλο, η μεγαλύτερη περιοχή τους επηρεάζει σε μεγάλο βαθμό την ανίχνευση θέσης αφής. Επιπλέον, πολλές θεωρητικά γραμμικές σχέσεις είναι στην πραγματικότητα μη γραμμικές. Για παράδειγμα, οι χρήστες με διαφορετικά σωματικά βάρη ή επίπεδα υγρασίας στα δάχτυλα απορροφούν διαφορετικές ποσότητες ρεύματος και η σχέση μεταξύ της συνολικής αλλαγής ρεύματος και των αλλαγών ρεύματος μεμονωμένων ηλεκτροδίων είναι μη γραμμική. Οι χωρητικές οθόνες χρησιμοποιούν ένα προσαρμοσμένο σύστημα συντεταγμένων τεσσάρων γωνιών που στερείται σταθερής προέλευσης. Όταν συμβαίνει μετατόπιση, ο ελεγκτής δεν μπορεί να την ανιχνεύσει ή να την διορθώσει. Μετά τη μετατροπή αναλογικού σε ψηφιακό στις τέσσερις γωνίες, ο υπολογισμός των συντεταγμένων X και Y σε ένα καρτεσιανό σύστημα με βάση τις τέσσερις τιμές ρεύματος είναι περίπλοκος. Χωρίς σταθερή προέλευση, η μετατόπιση της χωρητικής οθόνης είναι σωρευτική και απαιτείται συχνή βαθμονόμηση επί τόπου. Ενώ το εξωτερικό στρώμα πυριτικού γυαλιού της χωρητικής οθόνης είναι εξαιρετικά ανθεκτικό στις γρατσουνιές, είναι ευάλωτο σε κρούσεις από νύχια ή σκληρά αντικείμενα. Ένα μικρό τσιπ μπορεί να καταστρέψει το στρώμα ITO μέσα. Είτε το εσωτερικό στρώμα ITO καταστραφεί κατά τη χρήση, την εγκατάσταση ή τη μεταφορά, η χωρητική οθόνη δεν θα λειτουργεί πλέον σωστά.
